Earn Your Keep (EYK) and On-Target Earnings (OTE) -- What's The Difference and How They Work Together

We use a system called Earn Your Keep (EYK) to help you grow your base salary by hitting important milestones. You start at a lower base that is defined during your final interview, and as you prove your value ("earn your keep") and hit specific goals, your salary increases step-by-step — all the way up to your target base.

OTE means On-Target Earnings — your total potential monthly income if you also earn commissions, bonuses, or performance incentives.

Here’s how it works:
EYK = Your salary growth path

OTE = What you can earn if you perform well

Note: If you're already at your max base pay after hitting the final milestone and earn more bonuses = You can go beyond your OTE based on your monthly performance.

About the Role

Lycan is looking for a hands-on, process-driven Production Manager to lead our electric motorcycle production operations — ensuring our manufacturing floor runs efficiently, our quality remains world-class, and our vehicles are built with speed, precision, and pride.


Role Overview

As Production Manager, you’ll lead the daily operations of Lycan’s manufacturing department — from metalworks and battery assembly to final finishing. Your role is to ensure that every unit is built to spec, every deadline is met, and every production worker operates in a safe, productive, and growth-oriented environment.


You’ll coordinate closely with Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to align manufacturing outputs with design updates, market demand, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Primary Objectives


Deliver On-Time, High-Quality Production: 

Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production targets — hitting output goals without sacrificing quality.


Lead & Develop the Production Team:

Oversee a team of skilled technicians, operators, and line workers, ensuring smooth collaboration and task ownership.


Ensure Safety & Efficiency in the Facility:

Implement and enforce safety standards, lean practices, and optimized layouts for peak productivity.


Coordinate Cross-Departmentally:

Sync with engineering, procurement, and leadership teams to align on inventory, timelines, and technical standards.


Key Tasks & How They're Done


Daily Production Oversight

→ Monitor workstations, resolve on-floor issues, track real-time progress, and update reporting sheets.


Production Planning & Scheduling

→ Create and adjust production calendars based on supply arrivals, staff availability, and demand projections.


Worker Training & Oversight

→ Train new hires on tools, protocols, and safety. Hold regular performance reviews and support upskilling.


Issue & Defect Escalation

→ Quickly flag quality issues, parts defects, or bottlenecks to Engineering and Quality teams.


Report Generation

→ Maintain accurate output logs, downtime records, and shift performance reports.

Multi-Site Production Leader: Oversee multiple Lycan micro-facilities, standardize operations, and ensure synchronized output across geographic sites.


National Manufacturing Operations Head: Set production standards, manage cross-site performance, and oversee safety, efficiency, and capacity scaling nationwide.


Production Systems & Engineering Director: Collaborate with R&D and engineering to optimize process flows, equipment use, and layout design across all factories.


VP of Manufacturing & Industrial Strategy: Shape the future of Lycan’s localized production ecosystem — including facility planning, workforce strategy, and output scale.


EYK Milestone Track (PHP25,000 → PHP65,000/month)


Each salary jump is earned through clearly defined milestones that prove your ability to deliver output, reduce waste, improve quality, and scale operational systems. Each milestone must generate at least 15x the value of the next salary tier in productivity, cost-savings, or revenue throughput.


Milestone 1 → PHP35,000/month

Deliver consistent production of 100+ fully built units/month for 3 consecutive months with ≤3% defect rate and 90%+ on-time output over 2 consecutive months.


Milestone 2 → PHP45,000/month

Deliver consistent production of 150+ fully built units/month for 3 consecutive months with ≤3% defect rate and 90%+ on-time output over 2 consecutive months.


Implement a complete production dashboard or tracker (e.g., in Google Sheets or Notion) that logs unit counts, defects, downtime, and technician productivity — and use it for 1 month with accurate reporting.


Value Created: Establishes operational visibility, enabling proactive management, accountability, and forecasting.


Milestone 3 → PHP52,000/month

Deliver consistent production of 300+ fully built units/month for 3 consecutive months with ≤3% defect rate and 90%+ on-time output over 2 consecutive months.


Design and implement lean workflow improvements (layout, tool setup, task balancing) that increase production speed by at least 15% without increasing manpower or cost.


Value Created: Higher output per worker, reduced cycle times, and scalable cost-efficiency.


Milestone 4 → PHP58,000/month

Train and certify 2 assistant production leads to take over daily operations at your current site while delivering consistent production output of 300+ fully built units/month for 3 consecutive months, preparing for your expansion into multi-site oversight.


Value Created: Builds bench strength and lays foundation for cross-site responsibility.


Milestone 5 → PHP65,000/month

Successfully launch and manage operations across 2 microproduction sites for 2+ months — hitting unified KPIs of 500+ outputs per month, running synchronized reports, and maintaining quality across both.


Value Created: Enables multi-site scalability, opens new regions, and creates replicable production systems.
