Earn Your Keep (EYK) and On-Target Earnings (OTE) -- What's The Difference and How They Work Together

We use a system called Earn Your Keep (EYK) to help you grow your base salary by hitting important milestones. You start at a lower base that is defined during your final interview, and as you prove your value ("earn your keep") and hit specific goals, your salary increases step-by-step — all the way up to your target base.

OTE means On-Target Earnings — your total potential monthly income if you also earn commissions, bonuses, or performance incentives.

Here’s how it works:
EYK = Your salary growth path

OTE = What you can earn if you perform well

Note: If you're already at your max base pay after hitting the final milestone and earn more bonuses = You can go beyond your OTE based on your monthly performance.

Want to earn a higher base pay and OTEs? Then leveling up and taking on the next role is the way to go!

About the Role

Lycan is looking for an Industrial Fleet Designer to shape the backbone of the electric mobility revolution — developing reliable, no-nonsense electric vehicles that power the real economy: logistics, delivery, field work, and public service.

Role Overview

As an Industrial Fleet Designer, your mission is to design durable, functional, and smart electric vehicles optimized for B2B and B2G use — with a focus on utility, cost-efficiency, rider safety, and long-term serviceability. You'll design vehicles that are less about speed and thrill — and more about resilience, load-handling, efficiency, and technical compliance.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, compliance teams, and pilot users (from LGUs to delivery partners) to ensure every design not only meets real-world demands — but outperforms ICE counterparts in the field.

Primary Objectives

Design Commercial-Ready Electric Vehicles: Develop fleet models for specific operational use cases — including cargo, last-mile delivery, LGU use, or industrial transport.

Ensure Technical & Regulatory Compliance: Align vehicle specs with LTO classifications, government requirements, and industrial safety standards.

Maximize Functional ROI: Prioritize form factors, layouts, and durability features that reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and increase fleet uptime.

Bridge Design & Deployment: Translate insights from operational partners and prototype feedback into rapidly deployable design iterations.

Key Tasks & How They're Done

Sketch & Model Fleet Concepts

→ Use 3D tools (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, etc.) to create frame layouts, cargo compartments, and rugged enclosures.

Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers

→ Ensure suspension, chassis, and component placements are realistic and field-serviceable.

Develop Multi-Use Configurations

→ Design interchangeable parts or flexible structures that can serve different business needs (e.g. delivery box vs. cargo flatbed).

Compliance Mapping & Integration

→ Use local LTO classifications, LGU guidelines, and safety requirements to inform every vehicle spec.

Participate in Pilot Testing & Redesigns

→ Join testing with B2B/B2G clients to identify friction points and propose field-based improvements.

Earning & Growth Opportunities

✓ Fleet Design Royalties or Commission Bonuses: For models adopted by high-volume accounts (LGUs, franchise chains, logistics firms).

✓ Promotion to Fleet Innovation Lead: Head development of entire utility vehicle lines or manage industry-specific verticals (e.g., government, agriculture, logistics).

✓ R&D-Certified Designer Track: Work with business development to co-author proposals and pitches for large-scale fleet contracts.

✓ Access to Strategy & Deployment Circles: Collaborate with Lycan’s expansion and compliance teams to define real-world rollout plans.

Career Path Plan: Industrial Fleet Designer

This role builds the backbone of Lycan’s B2B and B2G strategy. By designing EVs that empower delivery fleets, municipalities, and essential services, your work will be measured not in “likes” — but in contracts signed, uptime delivered, and economies empowered.

Growth Pathways After This Role:

Fleet Innovation Lead: Oversee multiple lines of utility and commercial EVs, managing cross-functional teams through concept, compliance, and deployment.

Government & Enterprise Design Strategist: Lead design work tied directly to LGU or enterprise contracts — customizing models to meet the needs of institutional customers.

Director of Utility Vehicle Design: Own Lycan’s strategy for all non-consumer EV platforms, including modular fleet lines, rapid manufacturing solutions, and localized infrastructure integration.

Co-Creator of Proprietary Utility Platforms: Spearhead the development of long-term IP: vehicle templates and modular designs that can be licensed or scaled nationally.

EYK Milestone Track (PHP18,000 → PHP60,000/month)

Each milestone tier is earned through deliverables that enable real-world fleet deployments — from usable CAD to client-ready spec sheets — creating returns of ₱1M+ in potential fleet orders, compliance clearance, or production readiness.

Milestone 1 → PHP25,000/month

Deliver 1 complete fleet-use vehicle concept (3D model + functional layout) that meets base technical specs and reflects one priority B2B or LGU use case that secures at least 1 Letter of Intent document from a prospect client.

Milestone 2 → PHP35,000/month

Successfully complete a fully-functional prototype build that is approved by a B2B or B2G client.

Milestone 3 → PHP45,000/month

Update design to be compliance-ready with LTO, LGU, or industrial standards and successfully pass your work to production complete with manufacturing plans and drawings with adjustments based on field pilot or industry feedback.

Milestone 4 → PHP52,000/month

Design 1 variant or modular version ready for production to extend product line potential — with shared components and scalability in mind that successfully unlocks new markets and validates product design through at least 100 paid unit reservations.

Milestone 5 → PHP60,000/month

Your design is used in a wider fleet contract, rollout, or provincial deployment, and you co-develop the visual + technical documentation for national production and rollout

Royalties & Performance Rewards:

Adoption-Based Royalty: Earn a percentage of net income (e.g., 1–2%) for units sold or deployed using your approved design.

Design Deployment Bonus: Receive a lump sum for the first large-scale deployment of your platform (₱10K–₱50K depending on size).

IP & Legacy Credit: Your name may be linked to the platform in government, enterprise, or investor briefings — solidifying your impact on national utility mobility.
