Earn Your Keep (EYK) and On-Target Earnings (OTE) -- What's The Difference and How They Work Together

We use a system called Earn Your Keep (EYK) to help you grow your base salary by hitting important milestones. You start at a lower base that is defined during your final interview, and as you prove your value ("earn your keep") and hit specific goals, your salary increases step-by-step — all the way up to your target base.

OTE means On-Target Earnings — your total potential monthly income if you also earn commissions, bonuses, or performance incentives.

Here’s how it works:
EYK = Your salary growth path

OTE = What you can earn if you perform well

Note: If you're already at your max base pay after hitting the final milestone and earn more bonuses = You can go beyond your OTE based on your monthly performance.

About the Role

Lycan is looking for a Compliance Officer to serve as the company’s internal compass — someone who ensures our bold moves in electric mobility remain grounded in law, policy, and permits, securing our long-term credibility and ability to grow without disruption.


Role Overview

As Lycan’s Compliance Officer, your mission is to keep every aspect of the company legally sound and audit-ready. From BIR and SEC requirements to LGU permits, safety regulations, and renewable energy laws, you’ll be responsible for proactively managing Lycan’s legal and operational obligations across all its business units and facilities.


You will coordinate with legal counsel, government offices, and internal teams to anticipate issues, prevent violations, and streamline compliance processes — becoming a key pillar of operational integrity and investor confidence.


Primary Objectives


  • Ensure Full Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and maintain adherence to national and local regulations, including permits, business licenses, and environmental requirements.

  • Manage All Business Permitting Processes: Oversee applications, renewals, and compliance submissions across Lycan’s group of companies and dealership network.

  • Coordinate With Government & Legal Advisors: Serve as point of contact for regulatory bodies and facilitate communication with retained legal counsel.

  • Maintain Internal Risk Controls and Audit Readiness: Establish systems that prevent violations, delays, or legal disputes before they happen.


Key Tasks & How They're Done


Monitor Compliance Calendar

→ Track all expiration dates and renewals for business permits, LGU clearances, BIR/SEC filings, and labor requirements.


Prepare & Submit Regulatory Documents

→ Gather required docs (e.g., occupancy permits, fire clearances, tax compliance), and coordinate submissions on time.


Coordinate With Branches & Dealerships

→ Ensure provincial operations follow national guidelines and submit required documents on time.


Manage External Relationships

→ Act as liaison between Lycan and government agencies, external auditors, or legal consultants.


Flag Legal Risks or Gaps Proactively

→ Report potential compliance breaches, unresolved permit issues, or contract vulnerabilities to leadership.

Head of Compliance / Legal Affairs

Lead legal readiness across multiple business entities, dealerships, and regulatory fronts — from tax, environmental, to corporate structure.


Regulatory Strategy Manager (Expansion Track)

Specialize in enabling rapid dealership and production facility expansion while remaining fully compliant with local and national regulations.


Legal & Corporate Affairs Lead

Act as internal counsel liaison, handle contracts, shareholder compliance, and joint ventures, particularly as Lycan expands investor and partner engagements.


Governance & ESG Compliance Officer

Guide Lycan in environmental and social regulatory alignment — a key for funding, partnerships, and brand positioning in clean energy mobility.


EYK Milestone Track (PHP18,000 → PHP45,000/month)


Each milestone must create at least ₱700,000+ worth of saved risk, penalties prevented, or business enablement value (e.g. by keeping a dealership open, legalizing operations, or protecting contracts).


Milestone 1 → PHP25,000/month

Successfully complete and maintain a compliance checklist and permit tracker for at least 3 legal entities and dealership sites — actively monitored and updated monthly.


Value Created: Avoids late renewals, missed filings, and builds organizational readiness for audits or expansion.


Milestone 2 → PHP32,000/month

Secure all necessary business permits (barangay, mayor’s, fire, sanitation, etc.) for at least 2 new Lycan regional territories, with no violations or delays.


Value Created: Protects business continuity; prevents penalties or shutdowns.


Milestone 3 → PHP38,000/month

Secure and complete all necessary regulatory filings and compliances with LTO, LTFRB (if applicable), DOE, DENR, and BOI across all Lycan subsidiaries.


Milestone 4 → PHP42,000/month

Establish a standardized compliance system (forms, SOPs, and reminders) that can be replicated for future dealerships or subsidiaries.


Milestone 5 → PHP45,000/month

Complete a compliance audit readiness kit for the group of companies — enabling a successful BIR or SEC inspection or external due diligence with zero findings.

Violation-Free Streak Bonus: Get rewarded for achieving 12+ consecutive months of clean compliance reports across all departments/entities.


Expansion Compliance Bonus: Earn an incentive for helping open new dealerships or facilities with complete legal and permit documentation ahead of launch.
