The role focuses on Li-Ion battery systems, electrical diagrams, wire harness design, and ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed throughout the production process. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of sustainable mobility through technical expertise and thorough attention to safety, efficiency, and design.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Li-Ion Battery Management System (BMS):
Design, evaluate, and optimize Li-Ion battery systems, ensuring proper integration with the vehicle's overall powertrain and control units.
Develop and implement Battery Management Systems (BMS) for monitoring battery health, charging, discharging, and thermal management.
Conduct battery performance analysis, simulations, and testing to meet required performance standards and safety regulations.
2. Electrical Diagrams & Wire Harness Design:
Create comprehensive electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and wiring harnesses for electric motorcycles.
Oversee the layout and routing of electrical systems to ensure proper connectivity, signal integrity, and electrical shielding.
Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure seamless integration of the electrical wiring architecture into the overall vehicle design.
3. Safety Procedures & Protocols:
Develop and implement robust electrical safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to be followed throughout the manufacturing process.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for high-voltage systems and Li-Ion battery handling.
Conduct risk assessments for electrical systems and recommend design adjustments to mitigate potential safety issues.
4. Design & Production Documentation:
Generate detailed technical drawings, circuit layouts, and wiring harness schematics for production, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to support the production readiness of electrical subsystems, ensuring that all designs are feasible for large-scale production.
Lead the development of assembly guidelines and quality control documentation related to electrical components and systems.
5. Testing & Validation:
Oversee testing protocols to validate the electrical integrity, performance, and safety of all systems, including EMI/EMC compliance, insulation, and grounding checks.
Coordinate with testing facilities to validate the battery systems, electrical performance, and overall vehicle safety.
Analyze test data to provide recommendations for electrical system improvements and optimizations.
6. Project Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, industrial designers, and software developers to ensure system-level compatibility.
Provide technical support during the design and production phases, identifying and troubleshooting electrical issues as they arise.
Act as a subject matter expert on electrical engineering best practices, offering guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience working with Li-Ion battery systems, electric vehicle design, or high-voltage electrical systems.
Proficiency in electrical diagram software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar) and wire harness design.
Strong understanding of BMS systems, battery performance metrics, and thermal management for EVs.
Experience with high-voltage safety protocols, EMI/EMC compliance, and industry standards related to electric motorcycles or vehicles.
Ability to create production-ready electrical designs and manufacturing documentation.
Strong analytical skills and experience with simulation tools to assess electrical system performance.
Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas effectively.
